This is form of brainstorming via mind maps and/or computer or fax. As many ideas as possible are mapped (see mind mapping). As many characteristics and/or goals are for instance exaggerated. Then the sheet is put away and reviewed some days later. The ideas are then passed on to other people who add, criticize and return their copies. Then the different maps can be collected and discussed in a meeting. The advantage of this method is that in the orientational phase people can work at their own pace and whenever they feel they have the time. Via computer networks exchange is facilitated and those interested can respond.
